After many years creating merchandise from new materials Katherine Troyer became more and more aware of the amount of perfectly good fabrics in the form of clothing that were being thrown out and going into landfills and dumps.

“ I saw waste and opportunity! I now create ponchos, skirts and bags out of denim jeans. Silk ties become stunning hats and purses, old fur coats become jointed teddy bears or fur-lined mitts. Men's shirts become chic aprons and cool wine bags. Old sweaters become gorgeous cozy fleece lined mitts.
